DON’T ASK ME—ASK GOD WORKSHOP RECAP
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Don't Ask Me Ask God Workshop.
This was more than a workshop; it was a time of reflection, faith, and honest conversation about navigating life while seeking God's direction.
We discussed daily pressures—rising gas prices, rent, groceries, bills, relationships, and tough decisions.
The question was simple:
When life gets tough, whose voice are you listening to?
Are you listening to fear, money, or pressure? Or are you willing to stop, breathe, seek God, and act in faith?
The SBSA SYSTEM
STOP
Before reacting, stop.
Give yourself a moment. Don’t let fear or frustration control your response.
BREATHE
Take a breath.
Slow your thoughts and emotions. Create space to listen.
SEEK
Seek God.
Ask for His wisdom and guidance. Remember, He is always near.
ACT
Once you have sought God’s direction, move forward in faith.
Don’t let fear keep you stuck. Act with wisdom and trust.
GOD'S MATHEMATICAL SYSTEM
We explored how God’s ways often differ from ours.
Sometimes, to ADD, God SUBTRACTS.
Before adding better jobs or greater purpose, He may first remove what no longer aligns with His plan.
Sometimes, to MULTIPLY, God DIVIDES.
He may separate you from people or habits not meant for your next season.
What feels like loss may be preparation; what feels uncomfortable may be positioning.
WHEN GOD MAKES YOU UNCOMFORTABLE
Sometimes God allows discomfort to grab our attention.
The familiar may change, relationships may shift, and what once worked may no longer fit.
Instead of asking, “Why me?”
Ask:
“God, what are You trying to show me?”
Sometimes surrender leads to alignment.
What seems like a setback may be God redirecting you toward your purpose.
PEOPLE, PLACES & THINGS
As we pursue purpose, not everything can come along.
Some people, places, or habits may need to be released.
This doesn’t mean every tough relationship is meant to be removed.
We should seek God for wisdom rather than deciding based on emotion.
Ask God what belongs in your journey.
THE REAL-LIFE QUESTION
Gas prices are rising.
Rent is increasing.
Food costs are up.
Bills keep coming.
Life can force us to choose between necessities.
So what do we do?
We face reality without ignoring the pressure.
We seek God's wisdom on how to respond.
Stop.
Breathe.
Seek.
Act.
THE TAKEAWAY
The goal isn’t to pretend life is easy.
The goal is to not let difficult circumstances dictate our decisions.
You can acknowledge pressure without being controlled by it.
You can face problems while maintaining faith.
Sometimes, the first step is simply learning to listen.
DON’T ASK ME—ASK GOD
People can offer opinions and advice.
But ultimately, seek God for yourself.
Don't ask me—ask God.
Learn to pray, listen, and seek wisdom.
Trust Him, even when the next step is unclear.
REFLECTION
Ask yourself:
What influences my decisions—faith, fear, money, pressure, or God?
What might God be asking me to surrender?
What needs to be removed for something better to be added?
Where do I need to Stop, Breathe, Seek, and Act?
FINAL THOUGHT
Sometimes God subtracts before He adds.
He may divide before multiplying.
He allows discomfort to draw our attention.
Don’t fear change; it may lead to direction.
Stop. Breathe. Seek. Act.
God is always near.
DON’T ASK ME—ASK GOD.

SBSA — Stop. Breathe. Seek. Act.
Faith over fear.

God's direction over our understanding.
