DON'T ASK ME ASK GOD

First Online Workshop Recap | May 30, 2026

On May 30, 2026, we held our first online workshop, “Don’t Ask Me, Ask God.”

At the heart of the workshop was one powerful question:

“Why do we seek man before seeking God?”

We often turn to friends, family, mentors, social media, or other people when we need answers, direction, reassurance, or encouragement. But before seeking the opinions of others, have we taken the time to seek God first?

This workshop invited us to stop and think about where we go first when we are faced with uncertainty, challenges, difficult decisions, or questions about our lives.

The Conversation

“Don’t Ask Me, Ask God” encouraged participants to reflect on their own lives and consider:

  • Who do I turn to first when I need answers?

  • Do I seek people's opinions before seeking God's direction?

  • Why is it sometimes easier to ask people than to pray?

  • What does it mean to truly seek God first?

  • How can faith guide us when we don't have all the answers?

The purpose wasn't to tell anyone what their answers should be. It was an opportunity to pause, reflect, and look inward — while being reminded of the importance of seeking God for wisdom and direction.

Looking Back

This first online workshop was an important beginning. Although we did not capture photos or video from the session, the conversation, questions, reflections, and message made the experience meaningful.

In this day and time, when so many of us are facing uncertainty, difficult decisions, unexpected changes, and questions about what comes next, it is easy to look to people for answers and direction. But this workshop challenged us to pause and ask ourselves: “Why do we seek man before seeking God?”

We are thankful to everyone who joined us and participated in this important conversation. Our hope is that each person left with something to reflect on — a reminder to seek God first, especially when life feels uncertain and the answers aren't always clear.

When you don't know where to turn, remember where to start.
